Hey everyone, I'm new here. I recently got a new truck, a 2004 silverado 2500HD 6.0L gas. I got the truck for graduation (high school). I previously had a Jeep (1998 grand cherokee ZJ, for you jeepers on here.) and started my build thread late and left out a lot of stuff, SO, I figured I'd start this one early. 99 Suburban K2500 loose steering

I have some play in my steering wheel when I turn it to the right, but not the left, its pretty firm on the left side... so I replaced the steering box, pitman arm and hoses... still got the same issue, just put on a new stabalizer, issue is still there. Everything on the front end looks good, cant see any play... What would be causing this play?

When driving, I have to hold the wheel turned a little to the left to get it to stay straight, i just had an alignment done after i replaced the...

Hey, I've got a 93 k1500 with stock radio/cassette. I'm just wondering if it's worth it to spend like 100 bucks to get like a 50 dollar media receiver and maybe 50 dollar speakers to replace just the dash speakers. Will this be a significant improvement in sound? I know small speakers can only do so much but with these 30 year old speakers and radio I barely get any radio stations and if I'm on the highway I have to crank it all the way up and it sounds like trash. Any advice appreciated.

This will be an area for me to keep track of the modifications done to my wife's DD Yukon XL. Nothing too exciting, but going to make it look better along the way as well as function better in daily form.

Door locks

Went to unlock my truck this afternoon and the lights flashed, but the doors didn't unlock. Checked all the fuses and relays, all seemed good. You could hear the relays actuate but would not lock or unlock the doors. Any ideas?

Having a hard time finding cat-back exhaust 2010 6.2 ex-cab

Exhaust gurus. I swapped the stock exhaust on my 2010 Sierra x-cab for a Magnaflow & removed the resonator, had the shop put on a side exit behind the passenger wheel. Sound was too quiet for me so I trimmed the side exit back so it dumped out of the Magnaflow in front of the axle, still quiet. Actually didn't change at all.

Now I'm looking at cat-back kits & found the Borla ATAK to be more my liking, but they only seem to be for 2014 and up.

Nothing else; Banks, Corsa, Borla, blowmaster -...

4x4 Transfer Case swap

Hi i have a 1998 Chevy k1500 single cab with a 6inch suspension lift and a 2inch body lift. It has 37x12.50 BF Goodrich MTz. It is push button 4x4 (which is crap and unreliable and has the NP231 transfer case in it) My tranny recently blew so im gonna rebuild that and i wanna throw in the NP241 Manual shifting 4x4 transfer case. I know i need to cut out a whole in my floor but anything else? Has any one else ever did this swap? Any help, tips, and tricks will be greatly appreciated thank you!

I've read tons and tons of threads on "will these rims work on my X/X drop". So I figured I would make it easy for everyone that's new and needs this answered. Also maybe help with all the threads over the same thing.

These numbers are for 2WD, stock track width, static dropped trucks.

4wd trucks need to add an extra 5mm or so to the offset to be safe.

These numbers are the absolute minimum and will keep the wheel inside the fenders. Your wheel...

Hi everyone! I am new to the forums, and I have a few questions about my truck! I have a 2006 Silverado 1500 LS (Photos Attached) and I have a scratched fender from an argument with a fence, I won by the way. While looking for replacement fenders, I came across a 2006 Silverado 2500HD, and they are parting out, with a passenger fender still available. I wanted to know if the 2500HD front fender would fit my 1500, so I came on here to ask the experts, thanks! Also let me know what you think...

Tonight I installed painted door handles on my 2007 NBS truck. I wanted to take some photos of the install and write a how-to. The following instructions will give you a basic idea and understanding of how to install new door handles on your 2007+ Silverado, Sierra, Yukon, Tahoe, etc.

NNBS key/Ignition Grease?

Odd question. But Iv once again been blessed by a key hammering asshole that ruined all factory keys and possible the ignition.

Anyway, this one was so bad I couldn't get retraced so I had to get it vin cut by the dealer.

I get a slight hangup still, I know the older 99-06 vats hated any grease in the ignition. Iv try spit, wd-40, motor oil, ext, and on this one it makes it worst.

Just wondering if anyone slapped some di-electric or graphite grease with any luck.

I'm looking at buying new tires for my straight axled 2500hd, i have toyo open country mt now. They seem to be wearing even but wearing down fast. I looked at them and they are load range d's. Looking at the toyo website i don't see an e in that size but do see 10 ply other places.

Long story short here, i'll need tires soon. Do i buy load range e or 10 ply to last longer..? The 3 tires i have been looking at are the toyo open country rt/mt and the grabber x3's. Any info on these or other...

help truck won't start

Installed 1.5" body lift on 2006 crew can Silverado. Installed everything last night except front bumper. Truck started up ran fine. Went to crank this morning and won't crank and lights inside were flickering etc. throwing cel. Any ideas what's causing this ? It started fine yesterday

4L60E codes/issues

Scrolled through pages and pages of 4L60E issues on here, but didn't see this so here it is.

2005 Chevy 5.3 4wd 150,000 miles.

Trans was putting itself into limp mode upon starting up, but I can drive a couple blocks, shut it off and when I start it back up it works fine. Was getting a code for "b" solenoid bad so I replaced both "a" and "b" solenoid. Checked the connectors the best I could while under there. Thought I was good, but still goes into limp mode. Now I'm getting 5 codes. When...
