Sad day for me. I was in Huntsville Ala. on south parkway going to get my windshield replaced. Changed lanes looked in reaview and sideview mirrors didn't see anything close enough to hit me so I put on turn siginal and changed lanes. About 6 seconds later I was rearended by an 05 landbarge. Police showed up and didn't ticket anyone. So when tow truck arrived I had him pull my hitch ball with his winch just enough to get ball and mount off. It was dragging the ground. Paid him 150 dollars...

Post up a picture of an nnbs with a static drop. Post yours, your friends, your favorite or all of the above. Give the drop and tire size if you have it. Feel free to add before and after shots. And also what you used to drop it.

I have a 2011 silverado ext cab and when it gets real hot outside I hear a noise that seem like a fan thats rubbing on something. I found it to be coming from my headliner. It kinda looks like a speaker from the outside of it. View attachment 803104 What is the purpose of this fan.

Well.... Meet the new "project"!

As most of you know, the RCSB was totaled back in early March. Since then, I'd been back DDing the HD. I enjoyed driving it again. But, as always, I was itching for a replacement DD to keep the mileage/wear/tear off the HD. Once the dust settled from the RCSB settlement..... I was left with some money and I still had the RCSB. As much as I loved that truck, and I debated for a long time about trying to straighten it out and "restore" it, it...

Lowering that works in conjunction with bags?

ok, so here's the deal. I have a buddy (who's not on forums) who's got an 08 silverado crew cab 2wd. Eventually he's going to bag it but for the short term he's going to drop it 4/7. This is his question. Is there a lowering kit that'll get him to 4/7 that will also work when he goes to bag it? He doesn't want to spend money on the drop and then have to go back and put all the stock pieces back on to them bag it. Seems like a waste of money and time.

EDIT: Straight to bags not an option...

Gone from GMFS for long time, back with new truck (soon)

I pretty much built this thing up from scratch; most of it is detailed on GMFS, but the image links are all dead and there's no way for me to edit the post to update the links. I ended up selling it because the wife pretty much made me and it wasn't the most reliable though it wasn't bad either.

Basic build sheet: 96 K3500 CCLB, 6" procomp, 2" PA body, 37s, supercharged, 5.13s, upgraded xfer case and transmission, diesel bumper, so much I did to this thing. It ended up on Fuel's website...

So I bought these a while back thinking they were good and they are not. I had given them to a guy to rebuild but when he took one apart, it was completely f.....d up and would be the same price to rebuild as would to buy a new one because it basically needed everything. The other one was taken apart as well, but can be rebuilt without problems. Not really sure on a price, but I know it would be about $50 or so to ship in the U.S....

So, been researching Anthem wheels for my '16 Silverado 1500. Wondering who is running them and how do you like them?

Any and all pics appreciated. Really liking the Aviator A741. Probably 20 x 9 with 305/55-20 Toyo Open Country AT II Extremes.

So, let's see those pics.

Hello all,
New to this forum and reaching out in sheer desperation at this point . I'm not a mechanic not even close, my fiance was a diesel mechanic and passed last March . I've never had to worry about " truck stuff" before. Enough of that . I have a 94 GMC Sierra crate 350 5 .7 TBI / 4 WD. My motor and tranny only have a 100k on them (has been maintained reg), my truck just hit 304k. Never had any problems until the other day. Doin 80 down the freeway my motor dies. Get towed home, it...

Picked up a project truck. Was looking around at insurance auctions and saw this thing. 2017 Silverado Z71 with 700 miles. It was in San Diego with AZ title, thats usually a bit fishy but it seemed like a good risk to take. Seems like someone bought this new in AZ and drove to San diego and crashed it and the insurance company didnt see like it was financially smart to tow it back to AZ to try and fix it and instead just decided to salvage the truck and sell it where it crashed, thats just...

When it's first started after setting for a few hours it will stumbled and sometimes backfire just as it shifts gears, then it runs perfect. Any feedback would be appreciated.

Which NBS parts will fit on NNBS trucks?

Which parts are the same between NBS and NNBS? I've tried searching, but come up short everytime

  • Are NBS 4.8/5.3 the same as the NNBS ones? I know the NNBs have the AFM/DoD crap, but do they share the same parts externally?
  • Will a 2007 4L80E bolt up to a NNBS 4.8/5.3? Are flywheels the same, or would I need a different torque converter
  • Would a 2006 axle fit in a NNBS truck without welding or modifications?

Asking for a friend :secret:

NNBS 4/6 Drop... HELP

I bought my NNBS 2007 Silverado, Extended Cab LTZ 2wd used about a year ago. When I bought it, the rear was already lowered (2" shackles) and as far as I know or could tell, the front was left alone. I finally decided I wanted to go lower and got the DJM 4/6 kit. I personally liked the idea of being able to adjust the rear pinion angle. I know many don't. Anyways, besides grinding shackle mount rivits and flipping the axle, the rear went pretty smooth. I bought factory shackles and ditched...
